Earth Hour - 28-03-09

To support Earth Hour, I'd switched off the lights from 8:25pm to 9:00pm, merely 30 mins break.
I felt the urge to save the planet yet guilty as my little honey was moving around in the dark with the television set running. Playing at the background was her favourite songs and rhythms - Old Macdonald had a farm e-i-e-i-o -
I'm not going to strain her eyes so decided to do just a little to make a better World.
I was delighted to see so many of us have participated in this awareness and I think it should be a continuous effort in our daily lives.
Friends who go online, please please please, turn off your laptop if not in use, or if not, please switch to a sleeping mode. This little effort will save The Earth.

Rainbow

The rainbow appeared after a heavy downpour. This was how it looked on a Saturday evening.

Our little honey was there to witness her first sight of rainbow. As a kiasu mummy who stood besides telling her how many colours does a rainbow have? There are 7 colours.

This was what we found out from the webbie...

Traditionally, the rainbow's colours are described as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. In fact, our eyes can discern many more indivual hues.

A Decade is Over

A hidden chapter in my heart has recently been unfolded.

There are still many doubts about the whole issue and I did not allow it to rest and not even until today. My sorrow, no one knows. My hurt, no one knows. All I could do is to push it away at a very small corner of my heart.

My heart is filled with hubby's love which I'm allowed to spread this love to our daughter, Honey Celestine.

Still, this unrested chapter would always be hidden in my heart somewhere. No one knows except myself, perhaps if there's a chance, I may share with my only Honey.

A decade has passed, everyone has already moved on. Life still goes on. Time is tickling. I've picked myself. I've learnt more things in life. I'm blessed. Today, I'm writing this down yet feeling very sad. Fated to be where I am now.

Polka-dot & Stripes

Our super daddy was baby-sitting our little honey when I was out for a drink with friends.

I was impressed because he helped to bathe our little gal.

Our little gal was in her dreamland when I got home. As I switched on the light and about to kiss my little honey, I just couldn't stop giggling. My little gal was wearing her stripe romper with her polka-dot trouser. What kind of fashion is this?

I was wondering if anyone wear polka-dot with stripes. Kind of funny looking but it was very sweet especially I know daddy has taken good care of her.

What else can I ask for?

Thanks to our super daddy :)

My hubby is working hard to achieve the best thing in life. Not just for himself but his wife, Fiona & our little cutie pie, Honey Celestine.

I feel so good.

What does your birthday said about you?

Recently, I'd just did a quiz from facebook.com & this is what they said about me.

June
Thinks far with vision. Easily influenced by kindness. Polite and soft-spoken. Having lots of ideas. Sensitive. Active mind. Hesitating, tends to delay. Choosy and always wants the best. Temperamental. Funny and humorous. Loves to joke. Good debating skills. Talkative. Daydreamer. Friendly. Knows how to make friends. Abiding. Able to show character. Easily hurt. Prone to getting colds. Loves to dress up. Easily bored. Fussy. Seldom shows emotions. Takes time to recover when hurt. Brand conscious. Executive. Stubborn
.

In certain extend, it's quite true.

Thinks far with vision - I'm visionary on the contrary, you may call me a dreamer

Active mind - No way man, I'm not going to crack my brain loh!
Hesitating, tends to delay - A procastinator by nature
Choosy and always wants the best - Choosy only if you are cash-rich loh! No $$$ still wanna be a chooser! Tell me who doesn't want the best?
Temperamental - As volatile as the stock-market! Touch me not!!!
Funny & humourous - Yes, xiao ding dong loh!
Loves to joke - Why don't u tell me ur joke instead?
Good debating skills - Too bad, I'm not a lawyer
Talkative - Yes, talk non-stop
Daydreamer - A visionary person loves to dream but whether to execute the plan is a different story
Friendly - Given the right tools la
Knows how to make friend - Not friendly then how to make friends???
Abiding - Yes only to my hubby :p
Able to show character - Don't play play with me loh
Easily hurt - Yes, but I need time to heal
Prone to getting colds - Sneezing non-stop in the morning
Loves to dress up - Very ME!!!
Easily bored - I don't feel bore with hubby for sure
Fussy - Depending on what
Seldon shows emotions - NOT TRUE! I'm such an expressive person!
Takes time to recover when hurt - Life still go on right?
Brand conscious - LV, Gucci, Miu Miu, Chanel
Executive - No, I'm a full-time maid to hubby
Stubborn - Not really! I compromise quite a lot

True or False? U Decide!!!

My 1st Excursion

Mummy Fiona has planned an excursion for her honey Celestine.

Honey Celestine's 1st trip to The Singapore Science Centre.

Probably Honey Celestine was too young to learn about Science. But then, this whole trip was not about learning but more of spending time exploring things which we both didn't know.

It was an eventful day although Honey was quite afraid. She kept saying 'NO' to some weird objects.

To end the whole excursion, I've decided to explore the Eco-Garden despite walking under the scorching sun. This was the best part and Honey enjoyed herself very much especially she can said 'Hi & Bye' to all the fishes & tortoise in the pond. I've explained to her about water hyacinth and many other stuff.

I'm pretty sure she must have learnt something today. For instance, we had seen how electric currents travel and it trigger sparks of flame on the wire. To expIain upon chance, I described about the danger of touching my mobile phone when it is charging. To make things sounds a little exaggerating, I explained to her that those sparks of flames can even burn her hands.

This topic was reiterated after we got home. I think I'm right. She is afraid and wouldn't want to touch the wire anymore.

Then & Now

We were 1 month old!!!

We are celebrating our 2 Yrs-old on next Month!!!

Beer-coholic

I'm a Beer-coholic!!!

My 1st Time

In life, there are thousands and one 'first time'. Like what hubby always said, there are simply too many 1st time that we can hardly afford perhaps in monetary sense from his perspective. But still, it's always good to capture every significant moment somewhere before it is gone with the winds.

From my 1st Birthday, my 1st day of school, my 1st exams, my 1st certificate, my 1st boyfriend, my 1st job, my 1st paycheck, my 1st IT bag, my 1st IT shoe, my 1st driving license, my 1st ride, my 1st wedding dress, my 1st honeymoon, my 1st preggie look, my 1st childbirth, my daughter's 1st hug & kisses, my daughter's 1st vaccination, my daughter's 1st pair of shoes, my daughter's 1st ... & the list just go on & on ...

Ever since I got my driving license, I've never given a lift to my honey darling, Celestine. Because of a simple reason, FEAR! I guess my driving skill is not up to standard & I drive DANGEROUSLY!!! Till Monday, 02 March 09, finally decided to drive Honey around. It wasn't that bad afterall.

Prior to the ride, I was afraid that she would be restless and so I've prepared couple of items to keep her busy.

1. Her 3 mini books
2. Her magnetic sketching board
3. Her do without dolly!!!

To provide more, I bought her a giant Minnie Mouse, an alphabetical bible book & her 1st jigsaw puzzle just to keep her seated in the car while mummy was driving.

And the journey was fantastic. She was a great companion in the car. We both sang like nobody business. We talked nonsense & we made ugly faces to one another. That's the fun & it was our 1st time in the car!!!

My New Toy, FujiFilm

Week ago, mum spoilt my camera, Canon IXUS 800IS of 6.0 mega pixels just because she has forgotten to tighten Honey Celestine's water bottle that made the water to spill.

Gosh, I gotta spend extra just to get it service. I was rather pissed off but mum thought she could get me a new one. For God sake, how am I going to demand from mum?

As I was reminded from hubby that we have a new camera at home and was given free when we bought our new television set. So finally, went to explore and realise the pixels was much clearer, 8.2.

My critic:
Though the function not as many as the Canon but then I'm quite happy with the image
