My Dosage of Ben & Jerry

Sitting at my desk waiting for a colleague to bring my tub from Ben & Jerry's!

I had a horrible tastless fishy fishball noodle that spoilt my afternoon. To remove the fishy taste within my mouth, I gotta put something to camouflage the bad breath! Hope the sweet-bud would work miracle!

Oh gosh...the first thing in mind is to get my dosage of Ben & Jerry again...even though, I know I had one last week :)

Can't be bother with the weight gain cuz I'm sure this evening jog will burn part of the calories and coming Friday, the nite jogging with Hubby is going to make wonder for me. Don't believe? Try to run 2 hours and you see the result :)

So another tub is alright at the moment. "Good luck to me"!!!

Monday Blue

Today is definitely not a smooth day especially on a Monday.

Boss doesn't understand my message & pushing me for sales was inevitable but doesn't understand my strategy was even tougher.

Making sales call was bad!

Meeting nasty client who snapped at me!

Making me feel so blue on a Monday ...

Until I received this from hubby:

Always feel great to see hubby's email ... & I smile instantly ...

An Indulgence

What's an indulgence without a rich cool ice-cream from Ben & Jerry?

I'd had mine! What about you?

Latest Update

My sister who was admitted to the hospital, has already discharge this afternoon.

Her throat is still pain and that makes talking more difficult. Her result showing could be due to virus and fever. No significant sign.

I was asking if she's suffering from any 'swine' and does she need to be quarantine?

Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Fainted

11-05-09, Monday
My 2nd-sis was fainted in the office. Mum called to inform me at 5:30pm. Brother-in-law, Ignatius who was at Tampines was rushing down to Raffles Place where my sister works. Before anything happen, I rushed down in the middle of my work. By the time I got to her office, I was told she has already admitted to the A&E at Singapore General Hospital by the ambulance.
Visiting a patient at the hospital is more hassling than ever before. Everyone has to register at the counter, informing the nurse who are you visiting and temperature check is compulsory. A face mask is given before you enter to the main hall. Per visit of a patient is only limited to two, that means you must take turn to visit friends or family members. The whole process was executed in a mannerly way.
Except 1 particular nurse who was temperamental and frowning when I checked with her with regards to my sister's condition. I was rather pissed off by her attitude but then again, I tried to cool off to remind myself that people has bad days too. She was behaving like that because of the swine flu and the pressure she has to face in her daily work in this fast-moving department. All patients needed her care and her attention.
Sisters were calling me to check out my sister's condition but no answer from any doctor. She was kept under observation and to see how her body reacte to the medication that the doctor has injected. We would know in 1 or 2 hours time.
By the time I left the hospital with Hubby, it was already 10:30pm and no report was out yet. My sister's cell-group leader and her hubby were waiting.
I hope my sister is well and she can discharge from the hopsital by today.

18 Days Before My 1st 42KM

Yes, been training quite a lot these couple of weeks. Running to strengthen my stamina in order to conquer my 1st 42 km full marathon.
I have no idea how long would I need to run to complete the whole race but i'm well prepared to stroll in the middle of the journey.
The other day, just completed a 2-hrs session with Hubby, exploring different places around the Western part of Singapore. Places that we have not explored.
It was a crazy proposal during the run that I shared with Hubby. "When our little Honey grew up, let's run across Melbourne. It is my dream to run along Great Ocean Road or if not, a run during the winter in Melbourne is just fine".
Oh dear, what was I thinking?
Just a crazy thought!

Mother's Day @ The Botanical Garden

It's just a normal Sunday affair. Woke up in the morning and brought our little Honey for a breakie at the coffee shop. As usual, we ordered siew mai (Cantonese) and milo for Honey & I to share.

Hubby was reading his usual Sunday Times while Honey & I relaxed. Everything was normal. Nothing special about this day except that we bought mum a stalk of carnation. Seriously, I can't really recall when was the last time I presented a carnation to her. Shame on me. :p
In the afternoon, we went to St James Church to witness a friend's wedding. It was a simple church wedding with family and close friends. Basically the whole process took at least an hour and refreshment was free & easy.

Since the day is still young, we decided to head to Botanical Garden and to bring our girl to Jacob Ballas Garden where it belongs to the little children's paradise. I took the chance to remove my 3 and 1/2 inches of heels. Walking barefooted in the garden.

Believe me, it was good to walk barefooted once a while. It's so comfortable and a natural foot massage with pebbles on the floors and soaking into muddy water to give an instant moisture to the feet. But then again ... never forget to scrub your feet once you get home. Ignore the staring from the strangers ... they are just weirdo and someone who doesn't know how to relax and embrace the surroundings. They think you are crazy but just IGNORE! Ignore them and you have fun!

And so, this was me, barefooted...pushing my little Honey's pram around the garden.

A mother's day message to all the pretty mothers.

A mum is a rose whose petals are soft.

A mum is a lily whose stem is tall & strong.

A mum is a person who is never wrong.
