Calories Added

What else can I ask for? A simple evening with great companions. It's been a long time since we had such a great time.
Beer, Oolong Tea & Green Tea to go with pepperoni pizza & aloha pizza. Not forgeting my favourite cake, Lamington. Well ... the cake is rather disappointing. Just a sponge cake coated with chocolate and coconut flakes. This is not what I wanted. It's really different from the one I had in Melbourne. I'm going to miss it! Could any kind soul bring me a Lamington cake from Melbourne? Yep, let me repeat again! Bring me a lamington cake from Melbourne.
To capture the moment, we had some snapshots.

The Final Stage But Hang On ...

Sob Sob Sob ... Sayonara ... to my Marketing Career!

It's time to bid farewell to this long long "friend". Still remember my first day at work in a FMCG as a Marketing Co-ordinator in one of the MNC. Back then, I was just a fresh graduate from a decent university and don't really know how 'Marketing' works except what we had learnt from school.

The word co-ordinator speaks everything. Yeah for sure, lots of co-ordination among manufacturers, clients, designers, advertisers, etc. Afterall, it was fun to meet different types of people and I'm much outspoken than I used to be. Marketing is a lucrative industry with lots of challenges. Big $$$ if you have a lucrative marketing strategies. It's definitely exciting and rewarding. From co-ordinator to Brand Executive then Regional Marcom, the transition was smooth sailing. During this period, I have accumulated a long chain of friends, all thanks to my regional exposure. Indeed, the friendship is valuable and the overseas opportunity was hard to come by.

Though I'm leaving the industry but the skills and knowledge remained in me and to be brought over to the next path. Right now, let me enjoy my most precious time with my gal and continue writing my dreamy bloggie. Probably a good time to pursue something else in life.

Who knows, the next moment I would be writing 'My First Chapter'.

Girly Nite

Tonight Girls Nite!

Man not around in the room!

This was what I told my hubby. A girlfriend will be coming over, so please find some friends to hang around. Don't come back until I ask you too. hee...

What's for dinner then? pizza hut? rite pizza? sarpino's pizza? Still thinking. Probably some pizza with ice-cream? Yep, that's what she wanted. Ice Cream? Nah, no thanks!

'please lor, as if your pizza is not fattening'

Ya! At least, to minimise the intake of calories ma.

Anyway, looking forward to this nite especially no man!!!

A nite for me, Sulin and of course my honey, Celestine.

Self-Fulfillment

Sunday morning, a challenge ahead of me and I know I'm going to make it. No fuss but definitely lots of sweats. The Singapore Bay Run was held annually and attracted by lots of running enthusiast including myself. They seemed well-prepared for this endurance run. It was my first time to participate in such race. It's a very long journey for people like me whom had just given birth and training was limited. Nonetheless, it didn't bother me much. Here I am for the run and I'm setting a goal for myself.

Like what my friends said,
'RUN YOUR OWN RACE'

Yeah, I'm running my own race. Managed to complete 12km within 1hr 45mins. It was a steady run. Nothing beats this satisfaction and fulfillment.

Every pace I stepped, Every breath I inhaled, Every sweat I dropped, Drew me nearer to the ending point.

Hair Dryer Phobia

A short circuit from the hair dryer which I had been using for almost a decade, had given way last night which resulted this way...LOOK!
Flames diffused from the hair dryer causing a burnt on my wrist. From the corner of my eyes, I saw spark spattered. The house was in total darkness.

Thank God, my doggie Rocher was fine. I was holding the hair dryer blowing his soft damp fur. For a moment, doggie Rocher was hysteria by the flames and sudden blackouts.

A Bonding

An awesome bonding with mummy

The Beginning of the Cross

21 August 2006, Monday

This was the day when I began to mark a cross on my company's calendar. The calendar was sitting on the corner of my desk waiting. The number of crosses increased as the days went by. This was the day when everyone in the family were overjoyed. Overjoyed by the great news.
Yeah ... I was pregnant! Miraculously in some way or another. Giving me a chance to live on the memory of happiness. A memory that both hubby and I will share.

My future is My Honey. Let this future brings to me the happiest time of my life.

We Love You, Honey Celestine

Can't Stand It!

Recently, was exasperated by a misconduct from this somebody.

She was rude to her mother. She threw tantrum by screaming and yelling. This mother is someone that I respected apart from my maternal.

The triggered point started when the mother did not fulfilled her promise made to her daughter. It happened like this.

This daughter bought a blouse that she wanted so much and apparently, there was a stain on it. So she got the mother to wash. However, the mother has forgotten or maybe not. She failed to do so and this made the daughter to flare up.

Poor mother gotta take the nonsense from her rude daughter. Neither did she rebuke nor reprimand her daughter. Instead, she kept quiet. Later then I found out from the mother that some of her fingers were swelling with painful blister. Her fingers are sensitive to some detergent solution. Once touches, her fingers will start to react. Sigh!!!

Me, sitting there can't help much but to bear with all the nonsense. Was super irritated and disgusted by the rudeness.

Has this rude gal forgotten who was she talking to? Who was she yelling? Who was the one to provide her with all the unconditional love?

Sigh!
Has she totally forgotten?

It actually affects me a lot. I'm quite upset by the mannerism that the gal has shown especially to her mother.

I think manners have to be ingrained from young. As young as even a baby.

Pearl Powder

For youth vitality, Pearl Powder is highly recommended. Remember I'd mentioned about it during my preggie stage? I took quite a fair bit just to make sure I had a sheer radiant skin. Pearl Powder has always been well-known for its anti-aging. Needless to say, the secret to top beauty is Pearl Powder.

When I was a teenager, I would either consume or used it as my facial regiment.

Mix a pinch of Pearl Powder with a teaspoon of honey and eggwhite. Stir it.
Note: Pearl Powder does not dissolve
Apply on the face and leave it for at least 10 - 15mins.
Cleanse your face with cool water.

Now, the Pearl Powder tradition will continue.

My little gal has been having her dosage since the day she was born. My mum will take charge to feed my gal and me as a on-looker will be looking how amazing this tradition has been passed on.

Finally, replenished the stock. Got a 5% discount from Eu Yan Sang by presenting the membership card. Anyway, the card belongs to my sister. This membership entitled a 10% discount if you made purchases in Hong Kong.

Fishy burger in town

My craving for fish burger begins. Not just any fish burger but 'KFC Fish Ole'. Daily saver for only S$5.95 for a small-size beverage, a small tub of coleslaw & whipped potato and main course, Fish Ole.

What's so fantastic about it? Definitely the taste! The fish patty with added honey mustard is crispy unlike some others. The bread is different. At least much appetitizing.
What about McFish? Hmm...sorry the critic isn't good. In terms of size, McFish failed! In terms of taste, a bit boring. Tartar sauce. Bread? Nah ...
How much did I spend for lunch this afternoon?
$6.60 for an upsized medium Ice-Lemon tea, to change the whipped potato to French Fries and the rest remained the same i.e. Fish Ole + a small tub of coleslaw

Was it a daily saver? I'm not too sure. As far as I know, Fish Ole and Ice-Lemon tea from KFC are the best!
By the way, I had the same burger on last Saturday with darling hubby.

Good morning!!!

Good morning my little honey.

This was how she looked in the morning.

Shopping for another new toy

Gotcha!

Daddy was checking some new rattles for our cutie pie, Celestine. He realised those few that I'd given honey was a bit too heavy to hold firmly. A peevish expression tells everything when the rattle landed on her delicate face. Poor thing!

So next, daddy was out shopping. Daddy was so engrossed on the shopping that he din realised I was taking a shot of him.

eucalyptus - natural healing from the east

Spent almost half of the day at the spa while Hubby and mum had agreed to babysit my lovely honey.

The spa package consists of a Body Scrub, Body Wrap, Facial Therapy and last but not least, a basic pedicure to end the session.

Ginger Tangerine Scrub was my choice as I was sure it worked wonders to my body. Ginger contains rich anti-oxidants to eliminate free radicals and body toxins while Tangerine aids lumphatic drainage and reduces water retention. This zany body exfoliant is particulary cleansing for congested skin. Especially highly recommended for post-natal mum. This scrub definitely works on me and honestly, I'm obsessed with body scrub. You will feel an immediate effect by scrubing the dead skins and replenishes new skin cells. Skin will be more moisturise and tender to feel.

Further enhancement to the body was a wrap. Parafango Body Wrap combines the finest mud harvested from the deep ocean beds with pure alkane paraffin wax for a luxurious softening treatment. Warm paraffin are lavishly applied on the skin, sealing in the organic nutrients of the Pasmagl serum and Fango, which stimulate lymphatic flow and draw out toxins that reside around fat cells, leaving the body remineralised and contoured, with visible inch loss. Did I lose an inch? Of course "YES". Only if you continue the session consistently. Be realistic. Do you think by doing a session tells the difference? Though such pampering is fantastic but it can't be a regular basis. It's not cheap for a session. Such wrap cost around $160 for 70mins. Trust me, this warm session was real relaxing especially people like me who don't fancy massage. You will expect perspiration during this session and probably this make us lose an inch I supposed.

Next, we proceed to the facial room for a Skin Renewal. Specially created for spa beginners, this deep-cleansing and exfoliating facial includes cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, massage, a botanical mask, tone and moisturise. Before that, I had some sharings with the therapist, Fiona. Coincidence, my therapist's name is Fiona too. "Fiona treating Fiona". Shared with her about my skin problems to facilitate her process. Whether to add certain ingredients to the lotion or not. This is to ascertain my facial therapy is a pleasant and not the 'force out' session like squeezing of pimples and blackheads. Hmm ... I don't quite enjoy this session though it came with a package. The session took an hour to complete.

Final! The whole session was wrapped out with a basic pedicure. The last time I had a pedicure was during my wedding photo-shot in Year 05, December. Thereafter, found myself to be pregnant and did not want to do any pedicure. Back then, was skeptical about the solutions from the nail polish. Unsure what damages could do to my foetus. Now, back to my norms and I think it's time for me to renew.

Here I am!

Sunday Affair

A relaxing Sunday afternoon always encompass a run with our Doggie Rocher.

A Panoramic View

This is where I'm seated. A panoramic view overlooking the world's busiest port - Port of Singapore (at the backdrop). Was given this seat since the day I started work as a Regional Marcom Executive in Year 2005. The seat where I plan Marketing Activities for other region. A seat where I communicate with my superior and friends. A seat where I wrote my Dreamy Bloggie. A seat where I'm drifted to another world.

This is my last chance capturing the view, a view where I took for granted over the years. Soon ... gotta bid farewell to this scenic. I'm moving to a greener pasture for a breather ...

Hairy Monster

Was reading Yen's bloggie about 'Girls & their VPLs' in case you don't know what's VPLs ... VISIBLE PANTY LINES
Oh gosh ... probably she is right ... Please get someone to educate these S'porean women how-to-choose-a-panty-for-you' class. S'porean women ain't any idea how to match and mix. A tight skirt with a granny panty and that looks sucks indeed. I'm a sucker for G-string / Thongs ... and definitely hate to see these unsightly VPLs.
It reminds me when I was clubbing @ 1-Fullerton long time back and there was a pretty chio-bu ~ 'pretty lady' who was wearing a white long pants (tight-pants). Damn it ... she was wearing granny panty. Next thing, gossiping to my gal friends. VPL does look like an apple-shape but under a butt. It's either big / small apple. Hee ... sorry ladies but this is the fact. It really looks super damn ugly to carry an apple around especially under your ass.
That's for VPLs!
Ever met any women with hair under their armpit?
This is another superb freaky disgusting things a woman has. Curly hair growing @ the armpits. It's really a turn-off. Standing in the middle of the train, there was this woman (din really want to see how she looks) anyway, that's not important. The worst was, this stooppidd ... woman raised her arms. Guess what, curly freaky hair EMERGED. Don't she knows what is personal grooming? Personal hygience? Whatever the case, please!! Shave it! Trim it! Pluck it! Whatever ... at least get rid of those blackie curly coarse hair. I would suggest to the Ministry of Environment to cleanse away such hairy monster. This is far too much for the man to see. Oh well ...
Hairy monster!!!

Fashion Month

What's hot for this month?

Check out Dreamy Christmas Spring Season 2007.

Italian trained Korean designer - Her Glass Slippers, Enzo Angiolini, Birkenstock, Gucci, BCBG and lots more ...

Am I a Fashion junkie? Nah, definitely not me! I'm just a simple mummy who loves to doll myself. Dress to please myself. Simply put it this way, MY STYLE IS MY MOOD! I don't follow fashion just for the sake of it. Doesn't mean all outfits suit me. I don't have a figure like the models at the runway. More like scrutinising all dresses that looks good on me. Doesn't care how people rate. As long as I'm happy and confident to appeal stunning.

Kick back, relax and find out the following ways to avoid being a Fashion Slave.

9 Ways to Avoid Being a Fashion Slave ~ Maryann Colella

1. Throw out the fashion forecasts.

2. More expensive does not always mean better quality.

3. Make your own clothes.

4. Don't be bitter.

5. Be a Madonna-esque Chameleon.

6. Wear something because you like it.

7. Runway inspirations, not rip-offs.

8. Rock clothes with history.

9. Break all the rules!

Well ... hope you are able to achieve the above?

My Poor Cutie Pie

My little honey is sick but she's still as smiley as before. No sign of discomfort.

Thank God, she is fine.
Brought her to the GP last evening. Doctor had given her some medication (syrup). Can tell from her expression that she dislikes the taste of the yucky medicine. Yeah right man, who likes medicine?
Less than 5 mins, my poor little baby doze off to bed. She was tired. Probably the medicine took effect. Don't take chances, decided to place a fever pad on honey's forehead. Hope that her fever will subside.

Awaken by her whining voice exactly @ 5am: Fed her with milk and medication & to change her diaper. Measured her temperature. Tabbed a cooling hankie over her forehead. She looked fine.

This was how my poor cutie pie looked this morning. I can tell she was listless. Caressing her hair and singing lullaby to her. Looking deep in her eyes. As if she understand. Mummy is there for her. Always and Forever ...

Celestine's Collection

These are some of my honey's new collection.

The one on the right with a hippo was bought even before my little honey was born. Every nght, I will listen to the twinkling music together with my companion, doggie Rocher. And now, I have passed the toy to my gal.

The music will follow while she drifted to her dreamland.

Cooing, Crawling & more to come ...

Happily cooing away with her toys.
Grasping her colourful rattle.
Next ... what to expect?

In due course, she can pull her tummy off the ground and crawl on all fours. At this stage, my honey is able to lift her head especially when I placed her on her front but not for long.

Learning To Draw

The key to learning to draw is using our eyes. The basic tools is a piece of paper and a pencil. That's all I need. As children, I liked to riffled through some interesting pictures like rivers, buildings, designing of wedding gowns, designers' clothing and lots more but there's no way I could master the arts of drawing.

Like drawing a face. For all I know, a face is round, with a pair of eyes, a nose and a smiley mouth. To get it started, I was very wrong. Face isn't round afterall ... eyes are not oval in shaped and etc. It sounds easy to get it started but I think my drawing is really awful. I think a 3 year old kids will be able to draw much better than I do. Worst than amatuer, I supposed.

Don't believe! See it yourself.

Actual vs Awful Sketches from Fiona

Sorry honey, mummy's drawing is bad. But I will try to practice to make it near perfection.
This was my first sketch before I scrapped it. Then decided to post it on my dreamy bloggie.
Well ... at least I got the nerves to upload. Whoever happens to read my bloggie, coach me how to draw. At least the basic step, contour drawing!
My next agenda to the bookshop is to get books on learning to draw. In fact, went to mph (retail bookstore) during lunch time. Wanted to get some books about sketches and too bad, this lousy bookstore do not have any books related to drawings or arts.
Sigh ... that means I need to hunt again. For sure, it's going to be my agenda to the bookstore.

My Gal's - Rattle Toy

Celestine has a new rattle toy. The best part, she is beginning to grasp her toys.

Honey, keep it up.
