Fever & Diarrhoea

Celestine wasn't lucky for the past 2 weeks.
She was running a fever for a week and then diarrhoea on the following.

Passing motion for more than 7 times a day was abnormal and this was something that a baby couldn't take it.

Yes, she couldn't take it anymore. Her groin was red! Real red! The sight of it, made us heartache. Each time, we washed her butt, it will lead to crying. She was terrified by the washing. But guess, we had no choice but to cuddle and pacify her until the whole ordeal was over.
Less than a week, we had seen a general practitioner and a paediatrician.

These 2 weeks was really exhausting and now I finally realised how much our parents had sacrificed for us when we were young. This is no joke when you finally become a parents. I guess it's not easy and it's a full commitment to our children.

Until now, I think I'm not fit to be a good mummy. I feel guilty as I know there are some very devoted mummy has sacrificed their hourly sleep in the middle of the night, to make sure their sick child is not running a temperature. Every hour would hold on them and sponge them to make sure their temperature is not shooting upwards. They couldn't sleep for they were worrying sick about their children.

As for me, I'm no where to compare. I sleep till I miss the hours of medication. I sleep throughout without sponging which maybe I should have done it. I'm guilty for not doing this enough to my gal. I can't wake up in the middle of the night. I tends to drag & drag & drag ...

Real sleepyhead, am I? Sigh...

Nevertheless, our cutie pie is recovering well. At least, her passing motion has stopped. If not, she would not get the chance to visit the zoo on Sunday with daddy to celebrate his birthday.

See this was how our cutie pie was during her ordeal!
