Blind Spot

I had a terrifying moment this afternoon when I was trying to flag a cab along the hustling & bustling street at Geylang. There was this taxi driver who had noticed me swerved towards my direction. He was in the middle of the road while I was standing along the first lane. Apparently, he did not signal his intention and worst of all he had forgotten to check the blind spot. That made things even worst.

You know what's next?

He crashed against a motorcyclist rider. The rider was hit but thank God he wasn't hurt. At least, no bleeding on the head or body. Probably around the wrist since I saw his watch dropped on the ground and he was rubbing his wrist for awhile.

As for the taxi driver, he alighted immediately to check the rider to see if he was hurt. But the side view mirror was crashed. The mirror was detached from the original position.

Oh gosh, the thing was ... I was standing right infront when the accident occured. I was almost hit and thank God, I was agile enough to step backward. If not, I would have landed in the hospital.

Goodness, I was dumbfounded and couldn't know what to do.

There were 2 durian sellers who were tending the store were asking me if I was fine.

All I said was, I wanted to flag a taxi.

The moment I boarded the taxi, tried to call my gal friend, Sulin about the whole incident.

Honestly, I was panicking.

If it wasn't me and if the taxi wasn't trying to swerve in my direction, he wouldn't have landed in this accident.

Bad luck.
