30 Weeks of Pregnancy Stage

31 Jan 07, Wednesday

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and 70 days until 12 April 07, Thursday to my expected due date. Time really flies ... counting the number of days and my stomach has been growing bigger and heavier.

The sensational kicks from Little Celestine has became more prominent. A movement like waves can be felt and I guess this is the only time when she enjoys hitting mummy in the tummy.

Right now at this stage moving forward, I'm experiencing some contraction which is known as Braxton Hicks - a contraction of the uterus. The feeling is like a tightening of the lower part of the abdomen. When I try to feel, it's rigid and hard. This tightening is bearable but gotta walk slowly to adjust the pain. I can't really get up from my seat as quick as before. What I read from the web was Braxton Hicks may help to tone the uterine muscles and promote blood flow to the placenta. This contractions come and go and don't settle into a regular pattern.

I was checking around from all experience mummies like my beloved sisters, they were describing that the baby's head may be moving down in preparation to come out to this world ... but isn't that too soon for my delivery? Thought it's April and now is only the end of January. Oh my gosh ... This anxiety is occupying my mind ... day & nite ...

With the support from my hubby, I'm sure all pains and agonies will be gone and not forgetting our curious Rocher.

Cont'd to countdown ...
