A Very Special Love

Between a mother and child,
there is a special love
that exists nowhere else.
A mother is someone who loves
and is never afraid to show that love.
A mother sometimes pushes aside
her own needs
to focus on the needs of others.
A mother is a haven of love,
a listening ear when no one else cares
or has time to listen.
A mother makes times.
A mother gives advice when asked
but always with the understanding
that it is only advice,
leaving her child free
to make his or her own choices.
Though there are some times
when mother and child don't agree,
a mother respects her child's choices,
encourages her child's reasoning.
A mother is all these things
to her child, and more.
